Monday Mindset: Why We Need to SURRENDER More Than Ever
Why do so many of us desperately need the practice of SURRENDER right now?
We are living in a world of burnout, noise, comparison, speed, pressure, loneliness, and emotional exhaustion.
People are tired.
Tired of trying to ‘keep up.’
Tired of carrying ‘it’ all.
Tired of feeling like they have to have all the answers.
And perhaps, we are all simply LONGING for what is and has always been available to us:
PEACE
STILLNESS
CONNECTION
PURPOSE
SAFETY
HOPE
LOVE
For some, the practice of SURRENDER may feel uncomfortable.
It can sound like giving up or defeat.
Yet, what if SURRENDER is not about giving up…
What if it is about giving ‘it’ over to Him?
Giving Him our worries.
Giving Him our expectations/timelines.
Giving Him our need to control every outcome.
SURRENDER is a deep sigh of relief, returning to the PRESENT MOMENT, with Him and asking Him for help. He is just waiting to be asked!
Remember, we were never meant to carry ‘it’ all alone.
You are a precious child of God. You matter. Your story matters. God loves You.
From the knee, with grateful heart, love and prayers,
Carroll 💙
