SURRENDER to the Flow of Abundance, Monetarily and in ALL Areas of Life

Monday Mindset: SURRENDER to the Flow of Abundance, Monetarily and in ALL Areas of Life

One of the courses that I am taking right now (a 9-week course, and we are in our 9th week!) is all about our relationships with money, success, abundance…, and the blocks that each of us may have in regards to money.

One of the exercises/questions I worked on today with my accountability partners was: “How did I achieve/experience a million dollars worth of value in the first 10 years of my life?”

A few of my answers:

  • My wonderful, imperfectly perfect family and incredible friends.

  • Driving to the beach, packed in the car with my siblings, mom & dad. Hoping that the drawbridge over the inner coastal canal would be open for us to pass straight through and getting a glimpse of a tug boat or two escorting the huge barges. Hoping to be the first one to see the water…

  • Once at the beach, finding the perfect spot to set up 6-12 crab lines. All of us worked together, and Dad gave very important instructions — yes, how to tie the raw chicken parts to the bottom of the string — which was plenty of weight, to take that bait deep and catch at least three blue crabs on there at once! Mom was always making sure there was plenty of sunscreen, snacks, drinks…, to go around! Throughout the morning, we would check our lines, over and over, gently holding onto the string to test if there was a crab nibbling — often arguing if we felt one or not! If lucky (and we were lucky so often) you would feel that nibble and nervously and excitedly shout “I need the net, I need the net!” and someone would run down, stand next to you very patiently and very quietly as you slowly and carefully pulled that string up. The minute you could see the delicious victim, you’d say “NOW” and your partner had to go deep below the crab to scoop it up and low and behold, sometimes you’d say “There are THREE!” (That’s why your partner had to go very deep with the net, as there was so often a crab you couldn’t see at the bottom hanging on for dear life).

  • Priceless moments of storytelling (sometimes horrifying, scary storytelling), fishing, hide-and-go-seek until 10pm with the neighbors, throwing the tennis balls into the air at dusk, so that the bats would chase them down (we’d all run screaming)..., the early mornings with Dad at the kitchen table, watching the birds together (and the bird watching was fabulous!).

— Little did I know that we were a family of modest means, monetarily.

— Little did I know that for these priceless moments, to be and feel priceless, my/our Mom & Dad had to practice SURRENDER — SURRENDER their financial situation at least for these moments in order for the 11 of us to experience the real the value of being in each present moment and understanding/defining success and abundance.

Hopefully you understand by thee above, that there IS abundance in your life!!!

There ARE many million dollar/priceless moments in your life, REGARDLESS of the size of your bank account.

This does not mean that it is not important for each of us to grow financially — as money is a means to grow our purpose, vision and mission(s).

It is always the right time to grow, to break through anything blocking us in any area of life — in order for the abundance of ALL KINDS to flow freely.

With grateful heart, love and prayers,
Carroll 💙
