Monday Mindset: Gratitude for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice
This Memorial Day, let’s pause —- remember with deep reverence those (and their loved ones)... who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Let us whisper or shout “Thank You” — to God, and to those brave souls who stood watch so we could (and can) stand in peace.
🙏 Say a prayer for the families who carry the weight of loss.
🙏 Say a prayer for those who serve and their loved ones.
🙏 And yes, say a prayer of thanks that you woke up with breath in your lungs, purpose in your heart, and the cost of freedom on your shoulders.
Perhaps this week, part of taking care of ourselves… is remembering and honoring those who stand watch for us.
Inspiring Reminders for Your Week:
Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate… to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Senator John McCain (Veteran): “Glory belongs to the act of being constant to something greater than yourself.”
The Noticer Returns by Andy Andrews: “They did not expect to be carried, instead their offered to carry. God, country, and family..."
Scripture Reflection:
John 15:13 – “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Love and prayers,
