onday Mindset: Let’s SLOW DOWN and SURRENDER The Race & Hustle
If today is the last day that you or I have, wouldn’t it be nice to slow down and enjoy it?
Are we PRESENT enough to recognize the gifts, the people, and the moments right in front of us?
Are we rushing past them (rushing beautiful moments and conversations) in order to do more, BE more, make more, to keep up…, and we actually already have enough!?
Allowing ourselves to SLOW DOWN does not mean that we are not going to continue to learn, grow, acquire, …, and be ‘more.’ It just means that we are choosing to relax into gratitude and contentment AS we learn, grow, acquire, be…, more. We CAN do ALL of these things AND enjoy each present moment — one day at a time.
The truth is, days can seem very, very long, however, years always seem very, very short and fast.
This week, I strongly suggest that each of us slow down.
Implement some moments for a few deep breaths each day, maybe say no a couple of times, perhaps take a walk around the block after dinner, and see if we don’t accomplish and do exactly what we would have done rushing around anyway — and enjoyed it A LOT more.
From the knee, with grateful heart, love and prayers,
Carroll 💙
